Sunday, Jan. 24

Byne Memorial Church on Ledo Road will hold a Celebration Service commemorating their 100th anniversary at 10:30 a.m. Lunch will be served afterward; call 436-5700 for reservations. A reflection time will be available from 1:30 to 3 p.m.

Friday, Jan. 22

The Singing Samaritans will be the special guest at Cross Cultural Musique in downtown Leesburg at the Lee County Jamboree beginning at 7:30.

Sunday, Jan. 24

The Countrymen will the special guest at Temple Baptist Church at 6 p.m. Jan. 24. Supper will be provided after the service. Info: 886-0670.

Wednesday, Jan. 27

Pastor Charlie Rouse and Liberty Baptist Church, 1109 Liberty Expressway S.E., will hold revival with special guest Dr. W.A. (Billy) Smith. Lunch revival will be held at noon and evening services will be held at 7 nightly.

Monday, Jan. 25-

Saturday, Jan. 30

Get your taste buds ready for some good ol’ pork barbecue, complete with bread, baked beans and cole slaw at Riverfront BBQ on West Broad Avenue in downtown Albany. Plates are $8 and available from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, and noon until 9 p.m. Saturday. Proceeds will help pay Easton Blanchard’s medical bills. Tickets are available at The Medicine Man’s Corner or by contacting Heather Brand at 343-2456. Make checks payable to Philema Road Baptist Church.

Friday, Jan. 29

First United Methodist Church of Albany’s Hosanna Choir will sponsor a Music Trivia Challenge in Ford Hall. Your team can win prizes and even take home the coveted Music Trivia trophy. Teams can be groups of friends, family members, Sunday school class members, etc. Entry fee is $25 per team with up to eight people per team. Dinner will be available for purchase. Sign up in Sunday school or in the church office. Proceeds benefit the Hosanna Choir’s tour. Info: 432-7407.

Sunday, Jan. 31

The Georgia Boys will be in concert at Avalon Methodist Church during the 6 p.m. service.


The Pointe, a United Methodist Church at 238 Cedric St. in Leesburg, has new Sunday service times: 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and noon. Info: 435-5551.
