Gov. Perdue appoints Albany’s Andy Cooper to contractors board

Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue announced Thursday that T. Andrew “Andy” Cooper has been appointed to the State Licensing Board of Residential and General Contractors.

Cooper is the president and owner of Gary Cooper & Sons, Inc. He is a member and past president of the Home Builders Association of Albany and Southwest Georgia, and is a member of the Albany Rotary Club. Cooper earned a bachelor’s degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He has three children.
