Sabrina Powell passed away Monday night. God, how we miss her already.

The beneficiary of this fall’s Cancer Ties fundraiser, Powell was a model mother and citizen who bravely battled cancer with her husband, Bobby, and son, Andrew. It’s a family story for the ages – one from which we could all learn and benefit.

Our monumental loss here on earth with Powell’s certainly is Heaven’s gain.

Cancer Ties organizer Amanda Casey said Monday night: “Life is so very short! We should all live every day as though it is our last and praise God for all we have and all we are with every breath He give us!” Amen, Amanda.
