Sept. 18

Sept. 18-19

First United Methodist Church of Albany will host “The Outrageous Joy of Relationships,” a second annual retreat for women of all ages, at Kamp Kirksey. Rev. Carrie Austin will speak; Sandy Bennett and Sarah Ulm are worship leaders. The $35 registration fee includes supper, breakfast, and materials. Sept. 20-23

Sherwood Baptist Church will host its annual fall ReFRESH conference; this year’s speakers will include Michael Catt, Tom Elliff, Ken Jenkins, Ed Litton, Daniel Simmons, Mark Bearden and Bill Stafford. Mark Willard and the Sherwood Choir and Orchestra will lead in music. Sept. 27

Master organist Jonathan Durkovic will perform at 3 p.m. at Porterfield United Methodist Church; a reception will follow.

Nov. 14

First United Methodist Church of Albany, 307 Flint Ave., will host the acclaimed “Focus on Parenting” workshop from 9:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the church’s Ford Hall. The $30 tickets ($55 per couple) include a boxed lunch and child care. Info: bboyd@fumcalbanyga.org or 432-7407.
