ASU games to be on Internet

Albany State University fans can now watch the live action of Golden Rams football on the internet — for free. WALB-TV, the NBC affiliate in Albany, will webcast all four of the Golden Rams’ home football games at www.walb.com.

The webcast lineup includes the Kentucky State, which kicks off Saturday; the homecoming game against Benedict College at 2 p.m. Sept. 26; the Tuskegee University game on at 2 p.m. Oct. 24; and the Morehouse College game at 2 p.m. Oct. 31.

This opportunity means more exposure for the Albany State football program,” said Dr. Joshua W. Murfree, ASU’s athletics director. “We appreciate WALB’s generosity in donating this service for our fans who can’t attend the games,” he said.
