The Albany Convention and Visitors Bureau and Downtown Merchants Association will present present the second annual International Festival on Saturday Oct. 3, 2009 from 4 to 10 p.m. at RiverFront Park.
The free event have live music, tons of culturally diverse food flavors and lots of kids attractions, including face painting, a jumping house, a petting zoo, clowns, rock climbing, and games.
This year’s festival is expected to attract more than 5,000 people to the downtown area. This is a unique opportunity available every year to interact with different communities including Filipino, Hispanic, Japanese, Chinese, Indian, African, Irish, and Americans. The International Festival provides a positive impact for each participating group and for all the community while experiencing the various types of traditional dances, music, dress, and countries represented in each booth.
