Aug. 30

Jennifer Thigpen, a former member of TRUTH AND Women in worship, will worship with Sherwood Baptist Church at the 9:30 a.m. service.

Putney United Methodist Church, 1301 Dorough St., will host a gospel sing beginning at 6 p.m., followed by an ice cream social. Info: 432-7891.

Sept. 4-6

Motorcycle ministries from all over the Southeast will be sponsoring the seventh annual “Colors for the Cross” Christian motorcycle rally at the Dothan (Ala.) Peanut Fairgrounds. Sept. 18-19

First United Methodist Church of Albany will host “The Outrageous Joy of Relationships,” a second annual retreat for women of all ages, at Kamp Kirksey. Rev. Carrie Austin will speak; Sandy Bennett and Sarah Ulm are worship leaders. The $35 registration fee includes supper, breakfast, and materials. Nov. 14
